Adventures in Food Continue

I have absolutely loved watching Quinn try new foods and have enjoyed making her new fruits, vegetables and (now) chicken to try. She has eaten vegetables that I had never had myself (i.e. Rutabega) and is a great sport about it. She's had apples, pears, apple/cinnamon/raisin/oatmeal (fav), strawberry fig (fav), mango, peach (fav), blueberry apple, banana, corn (fav), sweet potato, sweet potato/broccoli (fav), sweet potato/chicken, rutabega, cauliflower, green beans, carrots, sweet zucchini/carrot (fav), potato, corn/potato, sweet potato/spinach, butternut squash, pea/edamame...I think that's it's so far. Oh and yogurt...and a bagel. Yes, I gave her a frozen mini-bagel to help with teething and she ate some of it. ha! Oh and lemons...she can suck on a lemon slice and not make a face at all...so funny! Still not a fan of Avacado.

Quinn is also totally rocking the sippy cup. She drinks water out of it.

Last week we decided to give her "puffs" and see how she would do at picking them up and feeding herself. She did great!! You can see the determination in her eyes.

It's Solids Time Baby!

We are in full gear with solids in Quinnland. She's doing great with trying new foods and gets very excited when it's time to eat. Quinn is also now using her highchair from Grandmomma Great. Thank you Grandmomma Great!! Q baby is rocking that chair out, I tell ya. Seriously, she's loving it.

I'm making her food which makes me happy. I figure if I think it tastes bad, why should she eat it? So far she's eating: apples, apple/bananas, bananas, peaches (a FAV), pear (FAV), peas, carrots (FAV), sweet zucchini carrot, corn, strawberry/fig (FAV), blueberry apple, apple/pear/banana and butternut squash.  She's also tried sweet potato which was a while ago so we need to try that again and avocado. The avocado did NOT go over well...she's not a fan.

Thanks to Great Aunt Lou and Aunt Meg for the baby food cookbooks, Hope for making food with me and answering my questions about it, and my mom for answering my questions about baby food.

Eating/Spitting Peas

More adventures in babyfood!
Here is Quinn blowing bubbles with her peas. We may take a break with the baby food until she's a little more interested. But it sure is fun watching her try!

PS. Sorry I am in the way for most of the video...need a better angle next time.
