Quinn loves music!! Now this video may not be what you would call "music" (my singing is kinda weak), but Quinn likes it just the same. 

She's also "dancing" now...I'll work on getting a video of that and post soon. That's my girl!!

She's saying it!!!!! Seriously, she is...I just can't seem to catch it on video, but I will!
It's sort of like "dada," I'm pretty sure she's not talking to one of us when she says it, but it's coming out of her mouth and is SO cute. ahhh, loves!

So as far as words/sounds, Quinn started with the typicall cooing of ahhhs/ehhh/ohhhs. Here is the progression:

Welcome to the lake baby girl!

What a weekend! We took Quinn to the lake for the first time this past weekend and it was as entertaining as ever.  Mike and I LOVE being at any lake/river...we love boating and all that goes with it and were really looking forward to introducing Quinn to it as well.

Our family was the first to visit my parent's lake house for the year and we had a few surprises along the way...mainly that the AC decided to call it quits and yes, it was 90 degrees. Whew!!! But it really didn't hold us back (after that first night). Mike bought us a couple HEAVY DUTY fans and we kept the doors/windows open...and maybe most importantly, we stayed outside on the water!! It really ended up being fine and we had a GREAT time. On our way home on Sunday we realized we didn't even turn the TV on once, I guess we just never thought about it b/c we were busy having fun together. (all together now, ahhhhh!) :-)
---We are now home with the baby asleep and both of us on our computers...too much "us" time? ha!!!! :-)

Romp-n-Roll

This post is quite a bit late but in April I took Quinn to Romp-n-Roll for a fun class on a Saturday morning. It's basically a big room full of big soft toys for the kids to play on with other kids. We were in the "baby" class with a couple other kids. The parents sing-along to songs, help the kids play instruments, do parachute games and play on the toys. It was a fun day and something I can see us doing more often when Quinn is a little older and its colder outside. Here are a few pics from the day.

Aaron and Sheena's Wedding

(I am catching up on posts...)

The last weekend in April Aaron and Sheena were married in Charlottesville at a beautiful winery. It was a lovely day and we're happy to welcome Sheena to the fam.

Since Mike and I were in the wedding Grandmomma and Gramps had Quinn for most of the wedding day. She did great for them and spent lots of time seeing other family members who were staying in our same hotel. Quinn was a night owl and stayed up until 9:30pm that night in order to celebrate...you go girl.

With all that was going on that weekend we really didn't get many pictures...as in somehow we didn't get ANY pictures of the me, Mike and Quinn...what the heck were we thinking!! Too focused on the tactical part of getting Quinn happily through the day I guess. But here are a few that others took...Quinn at the rehearsal and Mike and I at the wedding.

Best Man's BBQ

Every year the guys get together on Spring game weekend for what's lovingly known as the "Best Man's BBQ." There are many (MANY) stories from craziness that happened during this annual get-together but the guys all have a blast and it's fun to get together.

But we had an extra plus...Holly came to visit!!!! Yay!!! We had SUCH a great time with Aunt Holly and were sad to see her leave. Already can't wait until the next visit.
