Lots of new things happening!!! Mike and I closed on our house April 16th. We are really thrilled with it and can't wait to make it ours...and being the go-getters we are, we've already started! ha! The hardwood floors are being refinished and added to the kitchen this week. We have some time before we have to officially be out of our current townhome so we're working on the new house and slowly moving our belonging in. It's lots of fun...but of course lots of work.
We also had our 3rd doctor's appointment last week (the same day we closed actually). It was a pretty non-eventful appointment but we did hear the baby's heartbeat again which is always nice and reassuring. It was around 150 bpm. We will find out the gender next month during an ultrasound appointment. Can't wait for that!
It's hard to believe I'm in the middle of my 4th month, but here we are! I haven't been sick for almost 2 weeks so that is awesome! I actually don't even need to have crackers when I wake up in the morning to not feel sick, woohoo! I've been keeping up with my weekday morning jogs. I typically jog 3 miles 4-5 mornings on my treadmill (I so love my treadmill). Don't worry, I don't push myself, I just break a sweat and keep the heart healthy. If I ever feel uncomfortable, I stop and walk. And yes, I've talked to my doctor about it and he's ok. But even with all that, I give myself 9 more days tops before I'm going to have to use some new "techniques" to button my pants, such as a hair band or the bella band. ha! I'm not there quite yet, but it won't be long, I can tell!
Here is a pic I took this morning of the growing belly...starting too look like I supersized those fries, huh? :-)
We're so excited about all of the new Jackson family developments!!

Jenn's Baby Shower
I'm a little late on this post but a couple weekends ago Mike and I went to Cincy for the weekend. It was SO nice to see family (and of course to have Skyline...it tastes so good to me right now...yes, I know it's bad for me, but I live in VA so I can splurge in Cincy...this is my inner monologue while I'm there).
Anyways...the weekend was also Jenn's (Mike's sister) baby shower! She is having a little boy, Jackson Matthew Mercer (aka The Meatloaf) in June and we had a wonderful time showering her with love and gifts for Jackson.
Here are a few pics from the day:
Jenn and Matt
The Jackson Ladies
Jenn and the Jackson side of our fam
Jenn and some of the Wilson side of our fam
Jenn opening a cute little jacket for Mr. Jackson
And this funny one...the preggers sisters with a happy, happy grandmother to be!!! :-)
And let me just say that if my last name were not "Jackson", I would want to name a little one that. But since Jackson Jackson isn't an option, I'm glad Jenn is naming her little bundle Jackson. :-)

Easter Weekend
We must have been really good this winter because the Easter bunny came to visit the Jacksons! Here's a pic of our Easter baskets...can you tell who's basket is Mike's? :-)
We also received baskets of goodies from my mom and dad and cathy. Thank you sooo much!! Such awesome surprises!!
Mike and I also came to a conclusion this weekend...we are officially adults. ok, ok, so we kinda knew that but nothing cements it more than hosting a holiday dinner at your house and that's exactly what we did. Mike and I welcomed some of the fam to our house on Sunday for a yummy Easter dinner/lunch/whatever eating at 2pm is. :-) I was very happy with the way everything turned out and grateful to our guests for bringing yummy sides. It was a fun afternoon with family.
Pic of my colorful table.
And a pic of my handsome guy on Easter morning.

15 weeks
As of Yesterday, I'm 15 weeks. :-) So cool. And since I haven't been as great about belly shots lately, here ya go! As you can see, I don't have a cute belly bump yet, just that "beautiful" tire around my waist look. The whole, "wow, Brooke is enjoying her doughnuts a little more these days, huh" look ha! All for a great reason though. I'm sure it won't be long before you can see a pronounced belly. Other things are surely pronounced already, but we won't go there! :-)
Morning sickness has stuck with me but I don't have too much to complain about. It's usually just in the morning and after I'm sick I feel just fine. Probably happens about 3-4 days a week, nothing too bad. Otherwise, feeling good!
We close on our new house next week so Mike and I are getting VERY excited about it. Lots to do but so many possibilities...fun! (remind me I said this in about a month, ok?)
