Wow, I have let WAY too much time pass between posts. Woops, hopefully I'll do better. I am 14 weeks tomorrow and now officially in my 2nd Trimester...yay!!!!!!!! It's a great feeling to be in the 2nd Tri. We had our 2nd doctor's appointment last week and heard our baby's heartbeat for the first time. Talk about amazing!! Mike was able to capture it on the phone and we could send it out to our family as soon as the appointment was over. While we "saw" the heartbeat on our first ultrasound, it was wonderful to actually heart it beating (fast too!).
The final weeks of my first tri were probably my most challenging so far. I have had morning sickness most mornings and even a not-so-pretty version mid-day at work. But as Mike told the doctor, "she's tough" so I just go on with my day. :-) I actually feel much better once I done so why not keep the day moving along? ha! I really can't complain though, it hasn't been too bad at all.
More updates on our travels, house, kitty and family to come. Much love.

New House!
Today is big day in the Jackson household...today we purchased our first house together!!! And get this...we bought it at auction!!!!! Who would have thought? :-)
Mike and I are thrilled to be moving into our new house in Wyatt Farms in Blacksburg. We love the neighborhood and think the house will be a WONDERFUL new place for our lil family.
Can't wait to see you all over at the Jackson place for a housewarming party! :-)
And on one last note, I'm 12 wks today. :-) :-) :-)

10 wks and change
Things are moving right along...and I've definitely realized I'm knee deep in the 1st tri and all is glory...yes, I'm talking about morning sickness. I can't complain too much but I've been sick about 4 times so far...and out of nowhere. Well, once at night b/c I didn't take my prenatal vitamin on a full stomach...yowza, that wasn't fun. Otherwise it hits me out of nowhere in the morning. I also seem to have the nose of a bloodhound these days. I swear I can smell everything and it all smells horrible. :-p I'm sure this is just me and all food in existence hasn't spoiled overnight. ha!
It's a busy March for us here in Blacksburg. Mike spent a couple days with Chris Sweeney for his Birthday, we have a co-ed baby shower this weekend, I'm going to Atlanta next week for a conference we are hosting for work, we're looking into buying a house so that takes LOTS of time, my Junior Women's Club has our annual fundraiser March of Ales March 20th, and we're going to Cincy for Jenn's baby shower and to see family. We're excited!!

Hope's Shower
Our good friend Hope is having twin boys in May!!!!!!! Woohoo, Congrats Hope and Jim!!!! We are so excited for them. On Saturday, February 27th, I hosted a baby shower for Hope at our house along with help from Cathy, Hope's friend Heather from Roanoke and my mom and Megan. I was very pleased at how it turned out! Many of Hope's friends (of which several are mine too so that was extra fun :-)) were able to attend and celebrate the upcoming birth of her little guys. Here are a few pictures from the event...

Hope opening the cute Nike shoes that my mom gave her...two pairs of gray and orange Nikes...SO CUTE!
